SIGMET vacuum coating systems are used wherever sophisticated plastic or metal surfaces need to be refined – for example, in the automotive sector for interior and exterior applications as well as in the consumer goods industry. Typical applications include reflective mirrors, decorative chrome optics, or functional protective coatings.
The PVD processes employed are based on proven technology such as aluminum metallization combined with plasma pretreatment and optional plasma polymerization. This allows for the realization of extremely thin, adhesive, and environmentally friendly coatings – without the use of heavy metals like Cr(VI).
